The past 140 million years, plants have evolved with insects, mammals, fungi, bacteria, thus enable to adapt in every biomes, latitudes, temperature. Climate change continues, and human activities/ progress have reduced the ancientness of forest. The mosaic of forest is unique in every biome. Tree physiognomy is different in regions, there are many species, and some of them can be recognized by their height, leaves, trunk, and branches.
Besides hydrological cycle ( condensation, evaporation, ). However, trees standing tall have a lot of work in order to remain strong and healthy. On sunny days, trees lift water from the soil, and disperse in branches and leaves. Height of a tree is important, ecologist measure the height of trees to determine the future of the forest in every region.
Climate change and trees The tallest trees capture more light, carbon cycle, more sugar, photosynthesis at the highest potential. Tall trees mutualisms, help vines reach more light that transforms to more sugar. Synergy in the pollinator communities, and every biome food web.
Why some places need extreme protection from drought spells ? Tree physiognomy, in dry regions in particular desert regions , trees are not as tall as eucalyptus and sequoia. For example Joshua tree in the Death Valley are considered short, and needs an extra umbrella from human activities.
Desert and drought spell areas
African continent: mostly North Africa Sahara desert, Middle Eastern area, and some parts of South Africa. Asian continent: Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Western Australia. North America: Great Plains, Sage Spirit States, South California/ Mexico.
South America: Argentina
Unique Trees, forests and Biomes Sequoia, Fir, Eucalyptus in the Pacific. Dragon Blood trees in the Middle East, Indian Ocean and Galapagos Mangrove forest along the Asian tropical Pacific and Indian Ocean coastlines. Tepui Forest: Tropical South America rainforest, Canaima Park Venezuela
As climate change is progressing, we have to find solutions to bettering the planet.
