Weather is extremely important, because our daily quotidian depends on it.  What’s for dinner?  Supermarkets around the world would be   reorganizing seasonal food ( produce, vegetables and fruits).  Temperature for winter vegetables and fruits is 55degrees Fahrenheit, and can stand to 25 degrees Fahrenheit, but below this temperature is definitely too cold.  Many crops die from frigid temperatures, and frost.

What’s going on?

La Niña brings colder temperature in the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean.   The cold upwelling in the Pacific has a huge effect  in the ocean, it affects 2/3 of the world weather patterns.   The Atlantic region ( Gulf of Mexico) is the weakest, because the coastal areas suffer from coral reef deficiencies.  Previous winters were very cold , heavy snow, and stormy in Eastern states. The Great Plains is a very important part, because over 80% percent is dedicated to crops, pasture and rangelands.

Why is this important?

Ocean ecosystem are different in every regions , and are extremely important in balancing the temperature. Moreover, during this La Niña period, oceans lose some amount of coral reefs, and some species become scarce ( sea grass, and other vulnerable crustaceans). La Niña affects 2/3 of world ocean.
