An article published January 19, by Newsroom Panama “ For the first time in 40 years, Panam’ deep water did not rise”.

Panama Canal has 2 locks, one in the Pacific Ocean, and one in the Atlantic Ocean. Moreover, a La Niña is passing through this season. On the other hand, there is shortage of water in Panama Canal. Factors that contribute to sea surface rising temperature, and marine starvation is that the water is not from Panama or neighboring countries. Water comes from East Asia and the temperature is different and latitude possibly in the Pacific. That’s why Panama Canal water may not rise. Since 2015, water is brought elsewhere to support Panama Canal. Panama Canal uses 2 billions gallons of water per day.
