Meadows can be found everywhere, in tropical , temperate, tundra, desert, mountainous region.  Meadows are wild plants and very adaptive in various temperatures ranging from extreme cold to extreme hot.  In addition, meadows attract diverse pollinators worldwide.

The 21st century has experienced increasing temperature and frequent drought and floods.

Meadows purposes

Many meadow plants are wild flowers, grass, marshes, rough grazing pasture.  They grow by riverside, ponds/ lakes, seaside, mountains summit, large forest.  Large acres of meadows help soil from eroding during rainy season, in particular riverside with large deltas.  It is a natural flood prevention in large rivers and great support during overflowing.

Coastal / swamps/ salt water marshes

Tropical coastlines have lost 2/3 of salt water marshes in bays , gulf basin ( brackish).   Many  tropical coastlines need a better infrastructure to support swamps, salt water marshes to improve fishing and water quality. Water marshes are packed with oxygen, that is vital for marine species.  Mangrove is one of the salt and freshwater marshes that help In tsunami areas, it helps cool the water from hot sun.

Meadows in grassland

Meadows in grassland region are, pasture, rough grazing land.  They support a large herd of herbivores ( livestock).  Sagebrush is one of the plant that is very popular in the Great Plains.  Sage spirit has been known to overcome many drought seasons for centuries.

Tundra and alpine

Tundra region gets little rain, and large land surface is covered with ice permafrost. Meadows help keep permafrost from melting down.  Many rivers in tundra are facing challenges as temperature is increasing annually.  Alpine forests rely on meadow flowery plants for pollination during summer season.  Meadows add colors to the dark green coniferous forest .

Meadows in mountain summit

Meadows in mountain range support a diverse community, wild herbivores, mountain goats,  diverse pollinators.  Meadow plants balance the temperature in mountain range.  Mountain glaciers are melting from rising temperatures, and greenhouse gases.

meadows are born to be wild, they are very resilient, untamed species that grow on the wild side. Their wild nature can sustain extreme heat and cold temperatures.
