Taiga forest
The Arctic circle is surrounded by forests, the taiga forest consists of trees that can hold the coldest temperature and moisture for a long winter. When spring and summer arrive, the trees have to do the most to capture sunlight ( photosynthesis, hydrological cycle) in a short period of time.

Douglas Fir pine tree is 90 meter tall ( tallest in the Arctic Circle) that attracts sunlight during spring and summer. There are more pine like Balsam fir, Scott pine. They are found along rivers, mountain slopes.
