Earth had nothing half billion years ago, then evolves to many things, to regions, and ecosystems that now we have to protect. Temperature varies in every latitude and Every region. Earth revolution shows how each region is affected annually. Every region has an input and output of elements on earth, depends on the length of daylight, in perfect ratio.
How many forests should there be in one region?
For example, tropical forest in South American continent, and desert coastline. Mountain ranges/ glaciers and habitats, number of species/ plants in order to keep rivers/ lakes flowing.( hydrological cycle).
Grassland regions in Midwest of North America, occupies the largest land surface in North hemisphere. Number of forest and biodiversity occupy in a region. How many species per square mile ( refer to Richard Dawkins on Bear and Grey wolves). Tall American grass, cover a wide area in the Great Plains, but new development has caused many farmers and ranchers to change direction from natural grazing. This has gradually affected the supply chain across North America, and geographical changes. Good Agricultural Practice requires diversity of natural selection into order to protect soil, plants that has been thriving throughout geologic periods. Tall grass has overcome floods and drought for centuries.

How many, temperate, tropical, desert, and tundra regions on the planet? Because temperature changes every latitude, and maintenance in every region is very important to fight climate change.
